Your travel itinerary could look like...
Day 1
Arrival
Arrive at the airport where our enthusiastic Trip Leaders will be waiting for you at the arrivals gate. Transfer to your accommodation and once you are refreshed and settled, come together for a trip briefing. Your trip leaders will explain details about your travel plans, give advice on how to adapt to the local culture and outline how you will stay safe during your travels.
Dinner
Arriving in a new city can be overwhelming for anyone. So we would like to welcome you with a walking tour of the local area. Your trip leader will talk you through some of the cultural differences you should be aware of, as well as giving you some top tips for your tour. Back to the hotel for some well deserved rest
Day 2
Breakfast
Enjoy a half day city tour visiting Seoul’s most iconic sites including Seoul Namsan tower, Gangnam, Lotte Tower and Gyeongbok Palace. You'll experience true Korean culture as you board the bus with our local guide and be part of your own private tour!
Lunch
Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, the main Royal Palace of the Joseon Dynasty. Explore the exquisite palace, the largest and perhaps most beautiful of the 5 Palaces built by the dynasty, before walking up the Hill to the East of the palace. At the top, you will find Bukchon Hanok Village, a Korean traditional village of narrow alleys and traditional Korean houses called Hanoks.
Dinner
Visit Myeong-dong - Korea's best-known shopping district, where the streets are lined with department stores and shops that sell brand name cosmetics, clothes, shoes and accessories.
Day 3
Breakfast
Head 2 hours north of Seoul to visit the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea, better known as the DMZ. Take in views across the zone from the Dora Observatory and go into an infiltration tunnel under the DMZ built by the North Koreans. Visit Panmunjeom, the village just North of the De Facto border where the armistice agreement that paused the Korean War was signed.
Lunch
Monument in Korea which is preserved for British Army's Seolmari Battle Monument in Paju. Hill 235, where the 1st Battalion, the Gloucestershire Regiment was ordered to "Hold on where you are", is remembered as "Gloucester Hill".
Dinner
Hongdae Street is filled with buskers and dance performances, making a walk here quite entertaining. Special streets such as ateliers’ street (lined with private institutions for art students preparing for university entrance exams), Picasso’s Street, and Club Street are also must-go places for anyone hoping to fully experience the Hongdae area.
Day 4
Breakfast
Have you always wanted to be a K-Pop backing dancer? Well now you can live out those dreams in our K-pop dance class! Sing along if you know the words and follow the instructions of the professional instructors.
Lunch
Set up by the Korean Tourism Organization, HiKR Ground is a homage to all things k-culture. Experience dynamically the charm of tourism Korea such as Hallyu and festivals, a space is organized around realistic experience-type content to be combined with various fields such as smart technology, Hallyu, and art.
Dinner
Sing your heart out, Korean-style at a local karaoke. Featuring all your favourite K-Pop hits.
Day 5
Breakfast
It is said that to truly understand a country's culture, you must first experience its food. If you want to learn more about Korea's traditional food, there is no better way than to try your hand at making the food yourself in this Korean Cooking Class
Lunch
Namdaemun Market is the largest market in Korea. Visit this market and see countless shops and street stall lines in alleys, selling clothes, food.
Dinner
Tonight, it’s show time, as you’ll watch a hugely popular show called Nanta, a non-verbal comedy show, incorporating a traditional samul nori rhythm from a percussion quartet and involves acrobats, magic and of a fun dose of audience participation.
Day 6
Breakfast
Visit a Dojang, the Korean word for the training hall, where martial arts like Taekwondo & Tangsoodo take place. Have a training session lead by a local instructor.
Lunch
Home to more than 50,000 books and magazines adorning a 13- meter tall giant bookshelf, The Starfield Library is at the centre of COEX Mall. The enormous mall sprawls underground, providing a myriad of things to do and see, including an aquarium.
Dinner
Embark on a scenic cruise of the Han River, the major river running through Seoul, and cruise up to the Banpo Bridge with its unique fountains.
Day 7
Departure Day - Breakfast
Today, it’s time to head back to the airport for your flight home.
