Your travel itinerary could look like...
AM – Arrival & ‘Pest side’
Arrive in Budapest where your local guide will meet you at the airport, and take you to your hotel to drop off your bags.
From there you will head straight out and start exploring the ‘Pest’ side of the city, starting at St Stephen’s Basilica, before moving on to the Hungarian Parliament and Ruin Pubs. Here you will learn the history of Hungary in the Second World War, Cold War, and the Holocaust.
To cap off a busy morning, have a street food style lunch whilst on the go.
PM – Danube Cruise
After lunch you will go on a 1hr Danube cruise with a stop at Margaret Island. Whilst you are on the island, go for a fun biking tour, or instead if a tour, go and explore at your own freedom!
After an exciting and busy day exploring the city, it is time to relax and unwind at one of the great restaurants overlooking the Danube. Same some famous Hungarian dishes and specialties such as the Hungarian Gulyas (Goulash), Töltött káposzta (Stuffed Cabbage) and more.
AM – ‘Buda side’
Start your day off with breakfast in your hotel, before embarking on a half day city tour of the ‘Buda’ side of Budapest. The tour will include visits to the Military hospital and the Nuclear Bunker, located underneath Buda Castle.
PM – Thermal Baths
After a morning of exploring the city, take the afternoon to unwind in one of Budapest’s famous thermal baths before heading back out into town for dinner and evening entertainment.
AM – Free time
Spend your last morning in Budapest getting any last minute souvenir shopping done, or visit a favourite restaurant for that last bit of Hungarian hospitality.
PM – Transfer to Budapest Airport & Flight Home
In the afternoon you will be picked up by a coach to transfer you back to Budapest airport for your return back to the UK.
